Here are some random previews from Part Two of Alchemy. These are still unfinished, the way I work is to put in the backgrounds and text last after inking the whole thing. But I thought I would share them anyway :3

The guy with the plait is Ashe’s brother, Noir. I designed his hair to match Mason Verger’s long braid in Hannibal ^_^; He’s actually my favourite character so I’m looking forward to when it’s time to draw the part of the story when he’s around in more than a ‘flashback’ role.

I’m quite close to being finished with inking all of the pages, which means then I will be on to adding the text and getting everything ready to print!
Alchemy Part Two is coming along slowly… I feel like I’m always learning new things about comic making, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will all come together this time :3 Right now I am at the stage of inking all the panels, adding in borders, and things like that. I’m trying to spend all my spare moments at my computer, in between doing my ‘real’ work (thesis >.>). So far I’m really happy with how everything is looking! It seems like the style will have a very white/sparse theme this time.
Here are some ‘in progress’ shots of the pages in their sketched form:

A little while ago I submitted some work for Instantaneous 5, an exhibition organised by Pulp Fiction Comics. It was really cool seeing all of the other works and different styles by other comic artists. It was also a challenge for me to draw using pencils and paper since I usually do all my work with a tablet!
